March 21-29, 2026EgyptSoul Flow RetreatDance to the source of your being

Arriving in the Living Flow of the Nile
There is a moment on every journey
when the outer movement ends
and something deeper begins.
No matter where you are coming from,
this first day is designed as a gentle transition
from movement into presence,
from doing into being.
We begin slowly.
On your first day in Aswan,
we step onto a felucca —
the traditional wooden sailboats of the Nile.
Carried by the wind,
the river moves us without effort
through wide desert landscapes, date palms, and open skies.
There is no engine sound.
No schedule to follow.
Just water beneath you.
Wind on your skin.
Space to breathe.
As we share a relaxed brunch on board,
your nervous system begins to unwind,
your senses open,
and your body remembers how to move at its own pace.
Embodiment, Flow & Deep Presence
This first experience is
an embodied threshold —
As the river carries us,
your breath naturally slows,
your senses soften,
and presence begins to settle in.
You are invited to let yourself be guided
by water, wind, and rhythms that feel deeply familiar to the body cie—
to listen inwardly
and to become aware of your own natural flow.

Soul Flow Retreat

When dance flows from the heart, it becomes an expression of the soul…
Dance as Ritual, Meditation & Transformation
During this retreat,
we dive deeply into the energies that live within the movements,
allowing them to be felt, inhabited, and embodied —
until movement carries soul.
Again and again, we return to the source of being:
that inner zero point
from which everything arises
before it is named or shaped.
There is generous space for improvisation,
for listening closely to the body,
and for allowing movement to emerge
from presence rather than intention.
Sacred Movement & the Element of Water
Our dance practice is inspired by
ancient Egyptian sacred movements
and by Yanvalou,
a sacred Haitian dance connected to the element of water.
Both traditions meet in flow —
in continuous movement, inner listening,
and the experience of energy becoming form.
As we explore movement more deeply,
attention naturally shifts from shape to essence —
to the quality that carries each gesture
and allows the body to move as a living prayer.
Yanvalou brings softness, purification, and transformation,
echoing the wisdom of the Nile
and reminding the body how to yield, renew, and flow.
An Invitation
This is only a glimpse of what may unfold.
Each journey is unique
and shaped by what wants to be seen, felt, and moved.
Throughout the retreat, you are intuitively guided
within a safe, spacious field.
There is no expectation to perform or achieve.
No prior dance experience is needed.
Everything grows from breath, presence,
and the moment itself.
You are welcomed exactly as you are —
and gently invited to move from there.
Sacred Sightseeing
Temples as a mirror of the inner path
During SoulFlow, we visit selected temples and sacred places in silence, allowing their atmosphere to unfold in a meditative way.
In this presence, we listen inwardly — to sensations, inner images, and memories — freely, intuitively, guided by the moment.
Over the past year, I have returned to many of these places again and again.
Each time, they became a different mirror for me, opening awareness for inner layers and memories that had long remained hidden.
From my own experience, a quiet understanding emerged: that these places can meet each person in a very personal way, touching something of their own inner landscape.
You are invited to step into each sacred place through the wisdom of your heart,
opening a space where inner memories may begin to surface.
What arises is then gently integrated together — in silence, in shared reflection, or through movement — allowing the experience to settle and deepen naturally.

Aswan
- Gateway to the cosmic source
The region around Aswan was regarded in ancient times as a cosmic threshold —
a landscape where the Nile emerges from its divine primordial state into the world of form.
In the ancient Egyptian worldview, the Nile does not arise from a geographically defined source,
but from Nun — the primordial waters that existed before all creation.
Here, the god Khnum opens the hidden caverns
from which the waters flow,
guiding the unformed primal force from the invisible into the visible world.
Satet, the goddess of flowing, sets the river into motion,
and Anuket, their daughter, completes this transition,
embodying the living river in the world.
On Elephantine Island stands a temple dedicated to this divine triad,
where the knowledge of the water mysteries was preserved for thousands of years.
This temple has grown over time.
New layers were added upon what already existed,
all permeated by the same original source.
Here, on Elephantine, the veil between the visible and the invisible feels especially thin —
the source remarkably close.
Perhaps this is what gives the place its particular power.
A small anecdote…
During my last stay on the island,
the title of the retreat suddenly appeared before my inner eye.
At that time, I knew none of this history.
And yet, something within me had already received it.
Elephantine reminds us
that the path to the source is not an outer journey,
but an inner remembering
of what has always been there.
Is SoulFlow right for me?
A gentle invitation to listen inward
SoulFlow is a space that opens slowly.
It does not ask you to perform or achieve anything,
but invites you to soften into the experience —
into movement, into stillness, into what wishes to be perceived within.
You may feel drawn to this retreat
if you would like to open to your creative side,
if you enjoy movement as a form of expression
and love to experience yourself through the body and through dance.
If rituals and quiet moments inspire you.
If you are curious about inner listening
and willing to give attention to subtle inner movements.
SoulFlow is for those who wish to experience Egypt not only through seeing,
but through sensing —
in connection with the people, the places, the temples,
and the inner spaces of remembrance they may touch.
It is a journey that explains less
and leaves more room for direct experience.
Within this retreat, there is time for retreat and integration,
as well as for shared moments and connection —
and, naturally, for joy, vitality, and aliveness.
At the same time, SoulFlow is a space
where inner awareness is part of the path.
This does not mean that anything needs to happen,
yet it is possible that something within you may shift or gently open.
If you are able to meet such processes with care and self-responsibility,
this space can hold you well.
And it may also be that a different framework feels more aligned for you right now —
if you need clearly defined schedules and fixed content,
if you are looking for a journey shaped primarily by programs and sightseeing,
or if you expect dance to be taught through choreography and predetermined forms.

Dancing in ParadiseListenelement 1
On Elephantine Island — gently held in the flowing arms of the Nile —
I discovered a place that touched me instantly,
a place I fell in love with and where I am already looking forward
to dancing together with you.
Simply sensing the presence of this powerful, ever-moving river
is an experience in itself.
The island feels like a small natural paradise, reachable only by boat,
with open views to the Nile, nearby islands,
and the golden sand dunes of the West Bank.
As evening approaches, a quiet magic settles over the land.
The sun bathes the desert sand in golden light,
and the landscape begins to shimmer —
soft, vast, and quietly mysterious.
In these moments, dance naturally arises,
held by the river, the light, and the space itself.

Aswan and surroundingsListenelement 2In southern Egypt, near Aswan, the Nile reveals a truly unique beauty. Its numerous small islands cause it to constantly divide and merge. Thousands of colorful birds dance above its waters, while lush greenery and golden sand dunes line the banks. The contrast between the bustling city on the east bank and the tranquility of the Nubian villages on the far side of the Nile is striking. The atmosphere becomes particularly magical at night when the mounds of noble tombs begin to sparkle like precious stones. All of this is surpassed only by the warmth of the Nubian people, who welcome their guests like friends...

ArrivalListenelement 3
Before you dive into the many travel options to Aswan,
I’d like you to know this: you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I’m very happy to support you in finding the best and most comfortable way for you to travel —
whether you’re coming from Berlin or from somewhere else.
If you’d like, just reach out, and we’ll look at the options together.
Option 1 – the most comfortable way (for example from Berlin)
There is a daily flight with EgyptAir from Berlin to Aswan,
with a short layover in Cairo and return.
At the moment, flights are around €540,
including checked luggage (EgyptAir is very generous with baggage allowance).
Option 2 – lighter luggage, a bit more time
If you prefer to travel light and don’t mind a slower pace,
you can fly to Luxor for around €125 one way.
From there, it’s about a three-hour train ride to Aswan.
Option 3 – for those with time and flexibility
You can fly to Hurghada and continue by coach to Aswan.
Currently, flights from Berlin to Hurghada and back are available for around €200.
Whichever option you choose,
I will organize your transfer from your arrival point all the way to Elephantine.
I’m also happy to support you if you’d like to plan an overnight stay in Egypt along the way.
Accommodation
I’m happy to support you in finding the right accommodation on Elephantine Island.
Feel free to reach out — together we’ll find a place that feels right for you.
One of the beautiful things about Elephantine is its simplicity:
everything on the island is within easy walking distance,
and there is a wide variety of guesthouses to choose from.
I personally recommend treating yourself to a room with a view of the West Bank.
The view itself is an experience beyond words.
My heartfelt recommendation is a
Nile View Guesthouse.
located directly on the river with an open view toward the West Bank.
The family who runs it is warm and welcoming,
and the food is fresh and prepared with great care and love.
If you wish, you can book your room through me at a reduced rate,
as the owner is a close friend of mine.
The guesthouse is about a five-minute walk from our dance venue.
Right next to our dance space, you’ll also find several other lovely options, for example:
Esmerada - directly on the water
A charming overnight stay on a Nile boat just two minutes away,
for those who would like to fully immerse themselves in the rhythm and presence of the river
Another beautiful option is
Mango Guesthouse. It offers very comfortable rooms and is surrounded by a lush garden.
While it is not directly on the water, it is only a short walk from the dance venue
and has a calm, grounded atmosphere.
As mentioned, Elephantine offers many beautiful accommodations —
from simple and affordable to more refined and luxurious.
Perhaps one of them will smile at you right away.
Energy Exchange
The energy exchange includes my continuous guidance throughout the whole retreat,
all shared rituals, dance and movement spaces,
meditations, excursions & entrances and consciously held experiential spaces
over the full nine-day journey.
Accommodation and meals are intentionally not included,
allowing you the freedom to choose what feels right for you
and to shape your stay in a way that supports your individual needs.
We will be a small group —
creating a sense of connection and trust,
and offering a protected space
where you may open, feel held,
and experience yourself as seen.
An essential part of SoulFlow is experiencing Egypt from within —
in living connection with the people,
their warmth, and their remarkable hospitality —
always honoring your own rhythm and personal needs.
Together, we enter a shared space
where depth, connection, and inner movement are welcome,
and where we can meet one another from heart to heart.
Everything at a glance
Energy Exchange
The energy exchange includes a 9-day retreat with: • Daily sessions in dance, meditation, and energy work • Transformative rituals held in a consciously guided space • Felucca excursion on the Nile with brunch • Visit to the Temple of Isis • Visit to the Osiris Gate • Visit to the Temple of Khnum • Encounter with the Blue Lotus in the Temple of Anouri on Heissa Island • Desert excursion • Nubian evening • Closing celebration • Preparatory meeting with a meditative warm-up via Zoom • Follow-up meeting with a meditative closing via Zoom

Nothing carries more warmth than a recommendation that comes from the heart .
What is SoulFlow?
SoulFlow is a retreat that combines movement, dance, breath, silence, rituals and conscious encounter.
It's not about performance or technique, but about a natural remembering – of one's own flow, of embodiment, of the inner home.
Who is the retreat suitable for?
SoulFlow is aimed at people who yearn for depth, breadth and authenticity and want to discover another culture authentically and with heartfelt connection.
You don't need any dance experience or spiritual training – just the willingness to engage and encounter yourself.
What can I expect on site?
You can expect a space created from the heart and grown through experience for:
- free and guided movement
- Dance and body awareness
- Breath, stillness and meditation
- Rituals and conscious encounters
- Time to be, to feel and to discover
- Authentic experience of the country, culture & people
- moving experiences in mystically beautiful places
- a journey that opens up spaces both inside and out
The exact sequence of events emerges intuitively and in harmony with the group, the place, and the moment.
Is SoulFlow therapeutic or a promise of healing?
No. SoulFlow is not a therapy service and does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.
However, it can open up spaces where clarity, relaxation, inner movement, and profound insights become possible.
How physical is the retreat?
Movement, dance, and embodiment are part of the experience this retreat aims to offer.
You always determine your own limits.
Everything happens through listening inwards – nothing is forced.
Do I need any special physical qualifications?
No.
The movement spaces are open, soft, and adaptable.
You are invited to follow your body – just as it is right now.
What is the atmosphere like in Egypt / Aswan?
The people of Aswan are known for their warmth, calmness, and openness.
It is a culture where togetherness is a lived reality and guests are warmly welcomed.
How safe is a trip to Egypt?
I often encounter this question, and at the same time, I can reassure you from my own experience...
Last year I spent five months traveling in Egypt, mostly alone.
I felt safe, respected and well cared for at every moment – supported by the attention, helpfulness and warmth of the people on site.
Furthermore, the Egyptian state places great importance on the safety of visitors.
Tourism is of great importance to the country, and travelers are deliberately protected.
Is the retreat also suitable for solo travelers?
Yes very.
Many participants come alone and, precisely because of this, experience a deep connection to the group and the place.
How can I register or get answers to any questions I have?
If you feel called to do so, you can contact us at any time for a personal conversation.
This way we can see together if SoulFlow is right for you at the moment.
What if I'm unsure whether the retreat is right for me?
That's perfectly fine.
Sometimes an immediate "yes" isn't necessary.
A conversation can help you find clarity.
